 ring the familiar choruses and arias signals the start of the festive seas
 on.\nHowever\, of course\, Handel's most famous work is covers much more o
 f the story of Jesus Christ than just his birth..\n\nBeginning with the an
 cient prophecies of Isaiah\, Haggai and Malachi\, the oratorio proceeds wi
 th the New Testament accounts of Jesus' birth\, life\, death and resurrect
 ion in music that is tender\, passionate and - sometimes - downright terri
 fying. But there is always the underlying theme of hope and salvation.\n\n
 This performance\, conducted by our Music Director John Dunford\, together
  with a full choir and orchestra of top players\, is bound to be a very mo
