Wetherby to Ripon
Fundraising Walk - the pictures!

On October 17th, 2015 a number of choir members embarked on a sponsored walk to raise funds for our 2016 Verdi Requiem concert (with North Yorkshire Chorus).

The walk was from St James' Church in Wetherby (where we rehearse) to Ripon Cathedral (the venue for the performance on May 14th), a total of 22.8 miles. In addition to the full length, some members chose to tackle shorter distances on the main route.

We are indebted to Kathy Hart, Ivor Drake, David Smith and Graham Reed for organising the whole event - including reconnoitering the routes more than once - and to all those who took part and their sponsors.

The walks raised a fantastic total of £2,716!   Plus, everyone had a great day out.
